About Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz
Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz is an internationally respected art curator, author, and former United Nations diplomat. Born in Madrid, she has worked with museums and institutions around the world to produce thought-provoking exhibitions on influential figures including Rubens, Balthus, Botero, Picasso, Santiago Calatrava, Manolo Blahnik, and Nobel Prize-winning writer Gao Xingjian. Her curatorial work spans painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, and fashion—bridging genres with insight and elegance. As a critic and contributor, Carrillo de Albornoz has written for an array of global publications including Vogue (Spain, Italy, Germany, Mexico), The Art Newspaper, The Observer, Beaux Arts, El País, AD, and La Repubblica.
