Step Inside Assouline's Expanded Left Bank Boutique

If you reimagine the literary salon for the modern era, there’s no better place to do it than Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Long the playground of philosophers, poets, and provocative ideas, the neighborhood now has a new chapter—courtesy of Assouline.

On May 15, the brand unveiled its expanded Left Bank boutique, just steps from the original space. The new space is part Parisian apartment, part cultural cabinet of curiosities, featuring The Library Collection—a debut line of 14 objects and five home fragrances designed to make your bookshelves (and surroundings) smell as good as they look—as well as vintage treasures handpicked by Prosper Assouline himself. To celebrate this significant milestone, guests and friends mingled in the elegant new space, champagne in hand, alongside Alex Assouline and creative collaborator Pierre Favresse.

This fresh chapter focuses on the Ultimate Collection, those famously oversized, handcrafted volumes that double as design pieces. Meanwhile, the original boutique continues to showcase the Classics, Legends, and the ever-escapist Travel From Home series.
