A Night of Parisian Glamour in Greenwich Village

On Tuesday evening, Assouline transformed People’s in Greenwich Village into Paris for an unforgettable celebration of Emily in Paris: The Fashion Guide. The dress code set the mood—“Wear glitter, wear color, wear sparkles, wear feathers. Fashion doesn’t need to be serious.” Guests embraced the spirit as sequins shimmered under sculptural lighting, with fashion insiders and the show’s beloved cast gathering beneath striking art in the former Downtown Gallery space.

Hosted by producer Darren Star, actress Lily Collins, and costume designer Marylin Fitoussi, the evening unfolded within the speakeasy’s bohemian-luxe setting—an intimate backdrop for conversation, movement, and style. Lily Collins arrived in a statement look worthy of Emily Cooper, while Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu embodied Sylvie’s unmistakable elegance. Throughout the night, Marylin Fitoussi greeted guests warmly, sharing stories behind the show’s most iconic fashion moments.

Cocktails crafted with Baileys and glasses of Veuve Clicquot flowed as a cigarette-candy girl drifted through the crowd saying, "Bonsoir” and "Candy cigarettes, darling?"  offering whimsical boxes disguised as sweets, a final nod to the magic of Parisian nightlife.

As guests departed, one thing was clear: Emily may be in Paris, but her spirit, and her fabulous wardrobe, found a home in New York City.
