Description

Since its earliest days, in the years before the Romans and the Moors and the Spaniards, Seville has been revered for its rare beauty, and a special spirit embodied by its exceptionally friendly, diverse inhabitants. The city’s legacy continues to shine today, with its variety of stunning architecture, unforgettable Feria de Abril (the Seville April Fair), and enduring sense of culture and tradition attracting millions from around the world— none of whom can help but fall in love with this magical place. This in-depth volume transports readers with gorgeous illustrations exploring Seville’s most extraordinary sights, sounds, tastes, and traditions, from the opulent Alcazar to the sensual rhythms and movements of flamenco. The book includes a foreword by Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart y Silva, Duchess of Alba de Tormes, one of Seville’s most beloved figures, as well as a directory comprising del Junco’s recommendations.
