Martine Assouline, who, with husband Prosper, founded Assouline Publishing in 1994, first created the Travel Series with Ibiza Bohemia in 2017. Created to be a tome of inspiration, the books reveal the soul of a place.
“The idea is to take the reader by the hand, they come with me to understand what it is about this place. Why you can understand and why you can love it, and dream with it. I try to capture the soul, to make the place alive for the reader, it's about feeling.”

FROM IBIZA TO THE MOON
Since 2017 the iconic series has traversed the globe from Ibiza to Byron Bay, Miami Beach, and even the Moon.
Filled with evocative images capturing the history, culture, architecture and lifestyle of every place, all of which are selected by Martine from 1000s of images sourced from dozens of photographers working in various decades. Adorned in vibrant covers crafted from linen, silk or cotton, each destination has a custom motif, hand drawn by Martine herself.
‘I’m very sensitive to colors, beauty, and details. I pick every image placed within the book. I hand-draw each motif based off the inspiration and emotion I discover while creating the book… It’s a work of inspiration and creation. The idea is to write the music, to make a film for the reader.”
