Project Manager
Department: Editorial
Reports to: VP/ Editorial Director

Responsibilities:
• Strong organizational, management, and administrative skills
• Proven ability to track and manage multiple multimedia projects to meet tight deadlines
• Proven ability to work with global teams across multiple global time zones
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Manage interactions with publishing partners

• 2-5 years of experience in project management; experience working with luxury brands and knowledge of the publishing industry a plus

Media Manager
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 Year’s Experience including public relations, events and/or communications, preferably in luxury brand environment
• Must work well as a part of a team
• Ability to perform within a fast-paced, multi-priority setting and a passion for the PR industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint - Outlook or Entourage), Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign, and Cision
• Interest in culture, art, and fashion is highly recommended
• Basic knowledge of French Language a plus

Task and Functions:
• Act as primary support for the Vice President of Global Communications
• Assist with planning press strategies, including strategic book launches and events
• Maintain press database and record daily updates
• Create targeted media lists for specific book topics
• Outreach to print, broadcast, and online media locally, nationally and internationally
• Actively pitch and respond to journalists, editors
• Handle all photography requests for journalists and publications including photography credits
• Responsible for all book requests
• Monitor all press activity: Collect and follow up with upcoming and obtained press. Create all press recaps for authors and clients
• Manage, oversee, and update weekly press report
• Manage file archives
• Draft, edit, and format communications documents, including: press releases, media alerts, brand statements, and staff biographies
• Facilitate all press mailings, including biannual hardcopy catalogue mailings, event invitations, and emailed press releases and media alerts using email marketing service
• Update company’s best press documents for use on Facebook and Assouline website

Sales Operations Intern End of October through to End of March

Tasks and requirements:
The Sales Operations Intern will assist the entire Sales team to proactively develop new and expand existing business in Assouline USA wholesale markets as well as maintain the processes for existing clients. Specific responsibilities include:
- High level of customer (telephone/email) contact on a daily basis.
- Order entry, processing, dispatching, tracking
- Order discrepancies, returns, invoicing and credit
- Sales reporting and analytics
- Maintain sales force cloud computing system on Salesforce.com
- Provide customer feedback to the Assouline organization as needed
- Work closely with sales team, logistics and customer service department, financial department.

Skills/Experience required:
- College student or recent graduate

Boutique Manager, Costa Mesa, CA

Job Description:
The Store Manager is responsible for driving the store’s business and exceeding expectations while initiating effective cross marketing and outreach campaigns. This person is accountable for ensuring effective daily management and overall store operations as well as the motivating and maintaining of staff and local partners relations.

Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Attains monthly sales, conversion and other KPI goals
• Manages and coordinates the daily operations of the store and the daily activities of the sales staff engaged in promoting and selling products to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maximizes sales by building high performing teams, enhancing Assouline’s brand image in the market, and ensuring a consistent superior customer experience
• Develops new customer relationships and interacts with existing customers to increase sales
• Builds strong partnerships with corporate and local partners
• Conducts regular stock takes and implements stock control procedures while ensuring adequate monthly replenishments to optimize business opportunities
• Ensures the preparation and submission of financial/commercial and staff commission reports on a timely basis
• In coordination with the Corporate Office, actively implements and coordinates operational cross marketing and PR initiatives successfully driving footfall into the stores
• Implements timely execution of visual merchandising standards and ensures at all time, outstanding housekeeping and care of visual standards that portray luxury branding
• Exceeds all other requirements placed by head office

Desired skills and personal attributes for this position:
• Marketing background and/or business development experience necessary
• Retail and/or store operational management experience preferable
• Strong knowledge and personal OC network would be greatly appreciated
• Strong analytical skills in terms of KPI’s
• Experience and/or ability to implement productive retail action plans within a fast paced environment

Retail Intern End of November through to End of April
The Retail intern is a college student or is recently graduated with a business concentration, fashion concentration, or retail operations concentration. The individual is a luxury brand enthusiast and is interested in helping improve an existing retail infrastructure under the guidance of the Vice President of Retail Sales & Operations and the Retail Coordinator. The intern will assist in data analysis of products, sales, operations, and inventories. A minimum commitment of 3 months will be necessary, with an ideal duration of 5 months.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning of marketing/promotional events in globally-located stores
- Work under the Retail Coordinator and Vice President of Retail Operations and across the various departments of the business (finance, marketing, communications, distribution) to meet the needs of retail locations and partners around the globe. Examples include reporting, remittance, inventory control, inventory management etc.
- Work with stores on scheduling, logistics planning, pricing, visual merchandising, and staffing needs.
- Perform data-entry into sales program to ensure accurate inventory numbers and support replenishment to the stores.

Skills and Experience:
- Enthusiastic
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Self-starter, very motivated
